Palazzo Perfect II

"Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them" - Marc Jacobs

I'm actually a little bit obsessed with palazzo pants. Well, to be fair, I'm obsessed with every comfortable piece of clothing. I want to be able to breathe, I want to be able to run (don't ask me why I'd need to run), and I definitely want to be able to eat as much as I would  love to without exposing my beer, err, pot belly.

I did an earlier post here on how to style these wide-legged pants, but today, I narrowed it down to two different palazzo pants to achieve two very different looks.

For the first look, I have on a tribal palazzo print pant paired with a fitted black corset which is tucked in to achieve a svelte allure.

And for the second look, I aimed for a very relaxed, casual and slouchy look. I'm not entirely sure I pulled off this look but I wasn't about to waste these pictures, so look at them! LoL!

These pants are pretty perfect for a number of occasions; To work, on dates or just out to brunch. If it feels right, it most likely looks right.

However, here are a few tips to keep in mind;

Pair with heels. Apart from the fact that you don't want to trip on the excessively long hem, heels will give off  a sophisticated air/grace, weather or not they're visible beneath the pants.

Make sure the waist line is well cinched. Because it is mostly a loose outfit, it is important to give it a sort of form and structure. this can also be achieved with a belt.

Wear in dark hues/shades. Especially if you're not so slender. Darker hues are slimming and also, work appropriate.

Which of the looks is your favorite? How would you style your palazzo pants? Do leave a comment.

Until Next Time,
It's Tee.

P.S; If you'd love to own any of the outfits featured in the post (except the corset), do send an Email with size details.

1, 2, Ways To Style Your White Button-down Shirt

"Fashion is not necessarily about labels or brands. It's about something else that comes from within you" - Ralph Lauren
I feel the need to apologize in advance for the number of Ankara outfits that you'll find here. After garri (well, any form of swallow really) and soup, my next favorite thing is Ankara, closely followed by retro prints.
In this post, we're styling a basic white button-down shirt in two refreshing ways.
Now, a white button-down shirt is a wardrobe essential. Like a little black dress or a pair of very flattering jeeans, it is a fashion must-have.
It is chic through all seasons, for all ages and it works for about just every event.
For the first look, I tucked my white button-down shirt into an Ankara pencil, midi length skirt for a tailored appeal.
This simple ensemble can work for the office on a Monday or a Friday as the case may be.
Aiming for a more casual feel in the second look, I decided to pair my white button-down shirt with a pair of…

3, 4 Ways To Style Your White Button-down Shirt

"Elegance is not standing out but being remembered"- Giorgio Armani
Because 1, 2 Ways To Style Your White Button-down Shirt was such a favorite, we're back with another one!
It can not be over emphasized. A white button-down shirt is the real deal. Its tailored shape brings elegance to both casual and formal ensembles alike.
There really aren't a lot of wardrobe essentials that we lean on more than this statement piece. I know I said that about the basic white tee and maybe a couple of other fashion items, but stay with me here. Okay?
This time I decided to take it up a notch (or I'd like to think that's what I did).
In the first look which is my favorite of the two, I have on an Ankara pinafore over my white button-down shirt. This had me reminiscing on my secondary school days  Funny enough, I couldn't wait to graduate from Junior Secondary just so I could get out of wearing pinafores. Now they're stylish. Yay! Fashion.

For the second look which is…

Dressing Appropriately for Your Body Type

"The dress should follow the body of a woman, not the body following the shape of the dress" - Hubert de Givenchy
Hello everyone! Long time no see. I'm sorry, life has been, well, life.
Over the months, I've gotten E-mails with questions in the line of "Oh this looks so good, do you think it would look good on me too". Then, there's my friend and flat mate Ehimen who doesn't wear any colors except black because she thinks they''ll make her look big. I thought about these and I decided to put together a little guide to help you dress appropriately for your body type.
Now, essentially, there are four body types; the hour glass, the apple, the banana and the pear.

THE HOURGLASS You know you're hourglass when you're extremely curvy with a tiny waist.
Work towards highlighting your curves and not hiding them. You can achieve this via belts.
For bottoms, wear a lot of pencil skirts and wide-legged pants.

Wrap dresses are perfect.
For tops, …
