Monochromes - Again

3, 4 Ways To Style Your White Button-down Shirt

"Elegance is not standing out but being remembered"- Giorgio Armani
Because 1, 2 Ways To Style Your White Button-down Shirt was such a favorite, we're back with another one!
It can not be over emphasized. A white button-down shirt is the real deal. Its tailored shape brings elegance to both casual and formal ensembles alike.
There really aren't a lot of wardrobe essentials that we lean on more than this statement piece. I know I said that about the basic white tee and maybe a couple of other fashion items, but stay with me here. Okay?
This time I decided to take it up a notch (or I'd like to think that's what I did).
In the first look which is my favorite of the two, I have on an Ankara pinafore over my white button-down shirt. This had me reminiscing on my secondary school days  Funny enough, I couldn't wait to graduate from Junior Secondary just so I could get out of wearing pinafores. Now they're stylish. Yay! Fashion.

For the second look which is…

Styling Co-ords

"Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it" - Yves Saint Laurent

Hi everyone! Apologies for being MIA. If you've followed the blog closely you might have noticed that new posts come up on Sundays or every other Sunday if I'm being honest. Pardon me, I'm working on making that regular. However, I'm afraid that weekly posts are still not enough so, please, if you have any (style) ideas or suggestions or anything at all that you'd want to see on the blog, don't hesitate to leave me a comment or send us an Email.
Thank you!

For my first look I styled an Ankara print Co-ord skirt set. A flared crop top with a matching semi-wrap s…

Too Much Denim?

"Pure intense emotions. It's not about design. It's about feelings" - Alber Elbaz
No! There's no such thing as too much denim. If we've learned anything this year, It's that denim is not just for pants. We've seen denim jackets, denim tops, denim dresses and recently denim chokers. Even the denim A-line skirts of yore are back and clearly here to stay. Remember the very unflattering 'mom- jeans' our mums used to wear back then, those are back too. So, it's time to raid your mummies' closets and your daddies' too if i may add.
Hasn't been quite long when denim-in-denim was a major faux pas. Now it's seemingly the look du jour. In fact, double denim, twice as nice!
In line with this trend, I decided to style three different, unconventional denim looks. I'm not quite sure I nailed them so you be the jury.
LOOK 1 For this look, I have on a chambray shirt tucked into a pair of denim culottes. I must say that wearing two simi…
