A Print Affair With Ice Collections

"Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself" - Coco Chanel

It's safe to say that my favorite thing in the world is seeing young indigenous Nigerians carve a niche for themselves in the fashion industry.

When Charity Ineji reached out to me for a collaboration, I was literally overjoyed. I promise it has absolutely nothing to do with getting new clothes for free. Focus!

We went back and forth for a while until we agreed on three outfits from her brand, Ice Collection which specializes in making well-tailored female clothing; couture and prΓͺt-Γ -porter for the quintessential woman.

I didn’t need to see the pieces to know I couldn’t wait to wear them.

The first outfit, a mixed print Ankara cold shoulder print dress was one that I fell in love with at first sight. But then again, I’m obsessed with Ankara. Extra points for mixed prints.
I see myself wearing this to church or work on a Friday.

The second dress, a flare off the shoulder Ankara print dress is very fun, flirty and casual..

Initially, I was going to pair it with my Adidas Sneakers but when I put it together with these black sandals, I came to the conclusion that it was a match made in heaven. I would wear this to a lunch date or just a casual afternoon out with friends.

I kind of struggled with the third outfit considering that snugly fitted clothes are not exactly my style. Nevertheless, I love how much it flattered my frame.

I’m not quite sure of where I would wear this to. Church or work maybe? Too selxy for those?

You can find Charity Ineji on Instagram here at or on Facebook here. You can also send her an Email!

Which outfit is your best? How else would you style them? Would you be ordering from her? Don’t go without leaving us a comment.

Until Next Time,

  1. Stunning dress and collection, I just love the under stated simplicity of all the looks. Now if I were to rock any of the pieces,it would be the first one, I love the puffed sleeves and colour contrast. For the second look the sneakers option would have been dope. And the Ankara queen slays once again.

1, 2, Ways To Style Your White Button-down Shirt

"Fashion is not necessarily about labels or brands. It's about something else that comes from within you" - Ralph Lauren
I feel the need to apologize in advance for the number of Ankara outfits that you'll find here. After garri (well, any form of swallow really) and soup, my next favorite thing is Ankara, closely followed by retro prints.
In this post, we're styling a basic white button-down shirt in two refreshing ways.
Now, a white button-down shirt is a wardrobe essential. Like a little black dress or a pair of very flattering jeeans, it is a fashion must-have.
It is chic through all seasons, for all ages and it works for about just every event.
For the first look, I tucked my white button-down shirt into an Ankara pencil, midi length skirt for a tailored appeal.
This simple ensemble can work for the office on a Monday or a Friday as the case may be.
Aiming for a more casual feel in the second look, I decided to pair my white button-down shirt with a pair of…

3, 4 Ways To Style Your White Button-down Shirt

"Elegance is not standing out but being remembered"- Giorgio Armani
Because 1, 2 Ways To Style Your White Button-down Shirt was such a favorite, we're back with another one!
It can not be over emphasized. A white button-down shirt is the real deal. Its tailored shape brings elegance to both casual and formal ensembles alike.
There really aren't a lot of wardrobe essentials that we lean on more than this statement piece. I know I said that about the basic white tee and maybe a couple of other fashion items, but stay with me here. Okay?
This time I decided to take it up a notch (or I'd like to think that's what I did).
In the first look which is my favorite of the two, I have on an Ankara pinafore over my white button-down shirt. This had me reminiscing on my secondary school days  Funny enough, I couldn't wait to graduate from Junior Secondary just so I could get out of wearing pinafores. Now they're stylish. Yay! Fashion.

For the second look which is…

Dressing Appropriately for Your Body Type

"The dress should follow the body of a woman, not the body following the shape of the dress" - Hubert de Givenchy
Hello everyone! Long time no see. I'm sorry, life has been, well, life.
Over the months, I've gotten E-mails with questions in the line of "Oh this looks so good, do you think it would look good on me too". Then, there's my friend and flat mate Ehimen who doesn't wear any colors except black because she thinks they''ll make her look big. I thought about these and I decided to put together a little guide to help you dress appropriately for your body type.
Now, essentially, there are four body types; the hour glass, the apple, the banana and the pear.

THE HOURGLASS You know you're hourglass when you're extremely curvy with a tiny waist.
Work towards highlighting your curves and not hiding them. You can achieve this via belts.
For bottoms, wear a lot of pencil skirts and wide-legged pants.

Wrap dresses are perfect.
For tops, …
